How to Raise a Silver-Haired Loli – [Chapter 2]

A beautiful loli transfer student is sitting behind me.

What would normally be a blessing left me feeling uneasy.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not because she’s a loli, it’s because of the people in the classroom, they’re all staring at me.

I can sense the criticism in their gaze, they’re looking at me disapprovingly for ignoring the loli.

So what if I ignore the loli? Do I have to act nice just because she’s a loli?

I’ve tried my best so far to stay out of trouble, but who knew that trouble would come looking for me in the form of a silver-haired loli…

“Hey, Fei Yu, do you have anything to do after school?”

Just when I was beginning to feel frustrated Hao Ran began waving and started walking towards me.

I cupped my chin in my hands and furrowed my brows before responding, “Why? What’s the matter?”

“Do you want to go shopping?”

“… Did you piss Sister Yao off again?”

“How did you know?”

Even though I knew he was acting, I still found his surprised expression funny.

“As expected of my best friend. So… Do you want to go?”

“Sure, but shouldn’t you deal with Tian Ling first?”

“Yeah, I probably should…”

Hao Ran lost all signs of energy at the mention of Tian Ling, and seeing his expression of worry and exhaustion, I couldn’t help myself but to laugh lightly.

“So, what do you plan to do? Tian Ling is definitely not going to go easy on you.”

“Yeah, you’re right again… Ah, I got it!!”

“You’re going to bring her to Sister Yao so they can stall each other, right?”

I decided to take a guess before Hao Ran explained his idea. I didn’t have to look at him to tell that he was surprised. As I turned around and prepared to act smug I noticed trouble fast approaching.

“Fei Yu, are you alright?”

“Huh? Oh, yeah… I’m fine.”

I placed one hand across the back of my chair and turned to face Hao Ran.

“So, what did you do to piss Sister Yao off?”

“Well, it’s a little hard to put into words.”

“Just try your best.”

“Alright then, I chased her out of my room when I woke up to find her sleeping under my blanket.”

Such a nice scene to wake up to, yet the trouble begins here.

“And you’re not appreciating your luck? What, did you find it annoying?”

“Of course I found it annoying.” Hao Ran waved his hands in the air, clearly troubled just by the thought of it, “I couldn’t stand it.”

“Ara, so that’s what Hao Ran thinks of me.”

“…”

Hearing the familiar voice of his sister, Hao Ran froze.

He began blinking at me rapidly, trying to confirm if his guess was right.

I looked at him sadly, nodding my head in confirmation of the bad news..

After a short moment of silence in which he just stared at me. Hao Ran realised that he had been set up and took off running at full speed, trying his best to escape his sister as she followed hot on his tail.

Listening carefully, I could faintly hear Hao Ran cursing at me while his sister screamed at him to stop.

“… You bastard! I’ll remember this!”

“Stop right there! Don’t you dare run away from me!”

“Haha, they look as lively as ever.”

I laughed as I watched their running figures fade out of my sight.

The class remained undisturbed as they were used to their antics.

Suddenly, a light voice came from beside me.

“You guys are pretty close, aren’t you?”

“I guess… He’s an interesting person after all.”

I knew right away who I was talking to. Those soft-spoken words could only come out of the mouth of one person in this class.

“Oh? Are you sure he’s not just interesting because you can easily tease and prank him?”

“Prank? Well, I wouldn’t call that a prank.”

After I finished laughing and managed to respond to her question, I turned toward my right and began looking at the loli.

Smiling, she was glancing at me with her chin cupped in her hands. Her silver hair was spread across the table, forcing her to constantly tuck her hair behind her ears.

“You’re really beautiful.”

“Ehh? I’m… I’m not beautiful…”

As she heard my praise the loli began to blush. Embarrassed, she began trying to push me away using her small hands.

“Hahaha…”

“…”

“… Hahaha!”

“Mou… [1] Please don’t do that…”

“Sorry.” I quickly rubbed away the tears that formed while I was laughing and started apologizing to her, unable to withstand her cute pouting.

“Your reaction was just too funny for me to handle.”

“Hmph, Fei Yu only knows how to tease people.”

Fei Yu?

I took a deep glance at the pouting loli.

I breathed in deeply before sighing.

“My dear loli, I wasn’t teasing you.”

“Loli…?”

Zhou Xue seemed like she had no idea who the “loli” I referred to was, so I gestured towards her and nodded seriously. She blankly pointed her finger at herself and tilted her head in puzzlement.

“Loli?”

“That’s right. Loli.”

I spread my arms and smiled, “With such a cute appearance, of course you’re a loli.”

“Wuuu… Fei Yu is teasing me again.”

“No, no, no, I’m just speaking the truth.”

I quickly waved my hands, a cold sweat appearing on my forehead as I denied her accusations.

The loli was about to say something in reply, but she was cut off by a loud scream.

“Waaa! Fei Yu! Help me!”

Hao Ran suddenly appeared at the door screaming for help. Before I even had a chance to understand the current situation, Hao Ran took off again after glancing to his right.

Shortly afterwards, another figure ran past the door.

“Hmm, it seems I’m needed. I’ll be taking my leave now, my dear, cute loli.”

“Please, don’t call me that.”

“It’s fine, it’s fine. It’s true after all.”

I flashed her a bright smile as I ran off.
